Our Technology
At The Big Pixel Inc., we use Epson printers – a Stylus Pro 9600 recently converted to the seven-tone Piezography Special Edition (Jon Cone Studio inks) and a Stylus Pro 9800 using the eight-color Ultrachrome K3 ink set. These pigmented inks in combination with a variety of archival printing substrates yield original prints and reproductions of unrivaled permanence, black and white quality, and colour fidelity. The Epson Stylus Pro 9600 ® and the Epson Stylus Pro 9800 ® printers can both produce up to 44 inch wide borderless prints nearly as long as the mind can imagine.

Print on Demand and One of a Kind Printing
For artists interested in printing editioned works, print on demand gives you the ability to produce limited edition works without the traditional costs of having to print an entire edition at once. At The Big Pixel Inc. we are dedicated to working with our clients to help them manage their editions, while reducing their investment by printing only the number of prints needed at one time. Artists who work digitally and wish to present a one of a kind representation of that work will find that The Big Pixel Inc. provides the highest quality service at an affordable price.

Mounting and Lamination Services
We are adding to our customer service this summer. We are acquiring a Drytac Heated Glass-Top Vacuum Press HGP360 that has a working area of 1080mm x 1689mm (42.5" x 66.5 "). The HGP360 will be used for dry mounting on a range of backing boards as well as canvas lamination and other forms of heat set lamination. We are also acquiring a Drytac JM63-PRO 1600mm (63") Electric Laminator with Top Heated Roller. This machine will allow us to begin providing our clients with cold lamination of a wide range of materials as well as mounting to aluminum, Dibond®, Acrylic and face mounting to acrylic. We will also be able to provide access to heat set films for lamination. With the JM63-PRO we can mount on materials up to 2” thick and up to 63” wide.

Stretching and coating service for work printed on canvas, file manipulation, and image preparation. We can Archive your files to CD or DVD. We also offer digital photographic services and digital image restoration.
